History of FinLine
In 1991, before inline skating was widely known in Finland, a few skating pioneers from Helsinki tried to skate from Helsinki to Lahti (approx. 100 km). Skating on Finnish roads turned out to be possible and the rest is FinLine history.
Multi-day FinLine inline skating trip has been arranged annually since 1992. Since 2000, there have been participants also from aboard; nowadays majority of the skaters are our international skating friends. Skaters have arrived for FinLine from all around the world, from the west coast of USA to Tokyo, Japan.
The route has been different every time. The map below shows all FinLine routes and some pictures and videos shot by the participants.
